Keabreauna Boyd's story is one of those that doesn't seem real. She was terrorized by her abusive partner until he tried to force his way into her house the night of July 13th, 2020. The two ended up in a physical fight, and he stabbed her 8-month-pregnant belly. She was able to get the knife away and swung it wildly--striking him in self defense. He passed away from his injuries.

April was also published for her article talking about the PHI program she helped start. There are very few programs for the women at the Mabel Bassett prison. 😔 #FreeAprilWilkens #Oklahoma #SurvivedAndPunished

HB 1639 must be voted off the House Floor by Thursday the 23rd (next week). Contact your lawmakers and Jon Echols (jon.echols@okhouse.gov) to politely ask for the bill to get scheduled for a floor vote.
